Interested in exploring being a study participant?

We are actively recruiting adult study participants. We will be running the study for another few years. If you think you might be interested in participating, please send an email via the Contact Us Page and we will send you more information.  You might also read this overview document that describes what you have to do.

We are currently looking for participants who meet all of the following criteria:
  • Living in Boston or around Boston during the study period
  • Able to participate in mild to moderate exercise and activity during the lab session
  • Between 30-85 years old
  • Have a social security number or employee identification number (so Northeastern can compensate you)
  • Can wear a camera all waking day, including at home and the workplace

We are indebted to the people who have already participated in the study. Thank you for making science possible!

Are you a programmer?

If you are a programmer interested in open-source development, we use two software tools as we collect. One is a custom video-annotation/labeling tool for quickly annotating the front-facing video data: Video Annotator (Sent a note via the Contact Us page if you want access to this repository. The other is a tool for visualizing week-long datasets of raw accelerometer data: Signaligner Pro. Both software packages are written in JavaScript. If you are a strong JavaScript programmer and would like to help the project, there are plenty of programming tasks you could help us with as a remote, open-source developer.
